I've probably been through about more than 5 straightners (all with metal plates), and i continued to be disappointed with each of them. They took around 20 mins to heat up and it took me about 40 mins to get my hair even remotely straight!!

Help, don't know what to do! My GHDs blew up in my face today and didn't realise it was a known thing with these straighteners.
